Assembly worker

Company posting Laborer job in Hayward, CA California, USA The primary responsibility of a Laborer is to safely and properly install/remove the VPS rental equipment. This requires the Team Leader to be able to work at height, have a basic understanding of hand tools, and be able to lift 10 to 100 pounds on a continuous basis. VPS is a service business therefore the Laborer must always act responsibly and demonstrate a customer service attitude as they are highly visible to customers. The Laborer reports directly to the Team Leader.

Adhere to VPS policy and procedures
Adhere to the Health & Safety policies and wear prescribed PPE
Use proper VPS procedures for installing / removing, servicing, transporting and storing all VPS equipment
Accurately measure openings, so the correct equipment is installed
Assemble VPS equipment according to the measurement sheet
Load/unload trucks and vans as directed by Team Leader
Keep warehouse and trucks clean as directed by Team Leader
Accurately record equipment installed/removed on Job-sheet / Worksheet.
Report any unsafe jobsite conditions or hazards to Team Leader and follow his/her instructions
All hand tools are property of VPS and must be kept in proper working order
Clean, paint and repair VPS equipment returned from rental site and replace in its proper position in the warehouse after a removal

Position Requirements
High School
Knowledge of the construction, landscaping, or maintenance fields
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug and alcohol screening test
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history / record
